Mixing Workflow
Step 1: Listen
Listen to client's rough mix and reference tracks.
Step 2: Make a Rough Mix
A "rough mix" is not the final mix, it is the engineer's first go at mixing the project in order to show the client and achieve unity in the vision of the project.
Step 3: Initial Client Feedback
An important step to verify everything is in the right place, that we have all the right tracks, and to make sure we are understanding what the priority of the project is. What is the primary voice in the story? How would you like to storytell your project?
Step 4: Build Final Mix
EQ, compression, reverb processing, and all the goods to being every piece to life.
Step 5: Round 2 of Client Feedback
We send the sound file and you send revisions and comments.
Step 6: Automation and Final Touches of the Mix
Automation allows the engineer to perform the mix like it was a live show. Final touches will be implented as these compositional effects bring out more little cherries on top.
Step 7: Final Render
Render, send aaaaaaand DONE!
